FURTIVE ACTIONS.

by SARAH DESLANDES

“Stealth Actions” is a performance in the urban space of the medieval village of Maranola, on the occasion of the 6th SEMINARIA Environmental Art Biennial.
Through the involvement of professional actors and local people, the artist directs a choreography of performances that aim to infiltrate the life of the city with simple and almost invisible actions.

Movements, interferences, events, are made in collaboration with visitors or with chosen accomplices.
Extremely discreet and seemingly ordinary gestures mark public space and time, micro-disruptions that are bound to attract our attention. The idea is to amplify reality, play with it and emphasize simple actions, to learn to exercise attention and practice a poetics of the everyday.

When and how does the work appear? At any time, without spectacularity. Deslandes makes “something” happen, capturing the attention of some, inviting action or emulation.

In Maranola, stealth actions are inspired by the daily life of the place and its inhabitants.

Between August 19, 20 and 21, Sarah Deslandes will invite all residents and her accomplices to…

RELEASE BALLOONS IN THE SKY
KISS IN PUBLIC
MAKE SIGNS ON WALLS

DONATE A PLANT
