Goodbye

How important is the past for imagining and building the future?
I think one’s experience inevitably influences our future even though sometimes we may not perceive it rationally. I try not to imagine and not to think let alone build a future, I think the only way to live fully is to live in the moment.
However, even if not consciously, my works suggest a possible future but always leaving room for personal interpretation.

What are the elements you would like to/and work on further?
I have used numerous media in my career, and in recent years I have been working with painting but also in parallel with fiber art, which started with “Goodbye.”

Tell me more about the work for Seminaria.
“Goodbye” is a farewell to my parents who left me in 2006 and 2011.
In 2017 I wanted to say goodbye to them in my own way, a goodbye and not a farewell. The
daisy because for me it is their new form and one day it will be mine too. A
simple but perfect flower, a silent and serene flower.

A project you haven’t been able to do, but would like to do?

I have made a design for a huge red lawn with small red daisies and
yellow three-dimensional all crocheted. It is a very big job and
especially very expensive and so until I find funding it will remain
just a project.

In your work, personal experience and the creation of a shared emotional field
are key elements. How do you combine the tension between private and social time
of art?

There is no distinction of time in my time, everything is mixed, art and life are for
me indistinct.
